November 2026 shifts the focus from where airlines fly to what passengers find on board. After the October schedule change brought a wave of new routes, airlines now turn their attention to premium cabins and onboard service.

For business-class travelers, this means changes on several long-haul routes. One of the largest US airlines stops selling first class on its biggest aircraft, an Asian airline refreshes its premium amenities, and a European airline receives a new flagship aircraft ahead of its December debut. A Southeast Asian airline also opens a new nonstop route from the Midwest, while US airlines move in opposite directions on their Middle East plans.

Executive snapshot: what is shaping November 2026

  • American Airlines and Singapore Airlines change their premium products: American Airlines stops selling first class on its Boeing 777, while Singapore Airlines begins introducing new premium amenities.
  • Lufthansa receives its first Airbus A350-1000: The airline takes delivery of its new flagship aircraft in November.
  • Philippine Airlines launches nonstop flights from Chicago to Manila: The airline opens the first nonstop route between the two cities on November 9.
  • Middle East plans shift again: Delta Air Lines postpones its Atlanta to Riyadh route to March 2027, while United Airlines adds a third daily flight from Newark to Tel Aviv.

American Airlines and Singapore Airlines change their premium products

American Airlines stops selling Flagship First tickets on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for travel from November 19 as it replaces its first-class product with business class by the end of 2027.

  • The airline began operating its first retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in early September, with 70 Flagship Suite business-class seats and no first-class cabin.
  • American Airlines’ Flagship Suites are the replacement for first-class seats: each suite has a sliding privacy door, extensive personal storage space, and a chaise lounge position option. With the removal of first class, American Airlines offers its Flagship passengers access to its Flagship Dining option, previously reserved for first-class passengers.

In November, Singapore Airlines begins introducing new amenity kits, skincare products, and sleepwear on flights longer than six hours.

  • For the first time, business-class passengers receive sleeper suits. The new BYREDO business-class amenity kits include Blanche Eau de Parfum, hand cream, and lip balm.
  • First-class passengers receive SISLEY amenity kits featuring products from the Sisleÿa and Sisleÿum ranges, plus new 100% cotton sleeper suits and fleece slippers.

The airline introduces the new amenities progressively, so some November flights may still carry the previous kits.

Lufthansa receives its first Airbus A350-1000

Lufthansa takes delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft this November. The aircraft, named Deutschland, will operate long-haul flights from Munich (MUC) and become the airline’s newest flagship.

  • The aircraft carries 300 seats across four cabins with Lufthansa’s Allegris interiors. It has three first-class seats (two suites and one Suite Plus) and 49 business-class seats, including eight suites. The configuration offers 40% more business-class and premium economy seats than its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
  • The first passenger flight departs Munich for Tokyo Haneda (HND) on December 3, followed by Shanghai and Singapore later in the winter schedule. Lufthansa plans to operate these routes with a mix of Airbus A350-1000 and A350-900 aircraft.

Travelers connecting through Munich to Asia will be among the first to fly Lufthansa’s newest aircraft from December.

Philippine Airlines launches nonstop flights from Chicago to Manila

Philippine Airlines launches the first nonstop flights between Chicago (ORD) and Manila (MNL) on November 9, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

  • Chicago becomes the airline’s eighth destination in the US and its territories, after New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Saipan, and Guam. At 8,520 miles, the route to Chicago becomes the airline’s second-longest US route after the one to New York (JFK).
  • The airline will operate the route using Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with 30 business-class seats. Each seat offers direct aisle access, converts into a fully flat bed, and has dedicated power outlets and charging ports.

Thus, Midwest travelers gain their first nonstop route to the Philippines.

Middle East plans shift again

US airlines keep adjusting their plans regarding flights to the Middle East this month, moving in opposite directions.

  • Delta Air Lines postponed its Atlanta (ATL) to Riyadh (RUH) route, planned for launch on October 23, to March 2027 because of security concerns in the region.
  • United Airlines expands its flight schedule to the Middle East and adds a third daily flight from Newark (EWR) to Tel Aviv (TLV) starting November 2. The addition follows the airline’s September restart of the route and its October return to Tel Aviv from Chicago (ORD) and Washington Dulles (IAD). United Airlines’ flights to Dubai (DXB) are still suspended until March 2027.

Final thoughts on November 2026

November shifts the news from new routes to the cabin itself, and most of this month’s changes reshape what business-class travelers find on board.

From November 19, business class becomes the highest cabin you can book on American Airlines’ Boeing 777-300ER, while the airline continues retrofitting the fleet with Flagship Suites through 2027. On Singapore Airlines flights longer than six hours, you can expect new sleeper suits and amenity kits. And if Asia is on your list for December, you may fly on Lufthansa’s newly delivered Airbus A350-1000.

Midwest travelers gain a nonstop flight option to Manila from November 9. Meanwhile, the Middle East picture remains uneven: United Airlines adds more Tel Aviv flights, while Delta Air Lines’ Riyadh route and United Airlines’ Dubai flights won’t launch until March 2027.
